Good design, like the integration with the GoPro contacto.
Latch is kinda weak and pops open easier than I’d like. Zip ties for hinges seems sorta temporary. A switches for the fan would b clutch as well. Would buy again but a few simple improvements would make this awesome!

The latch is a classic tradeoff. The first version had a lever latch but it had two problems. One it was in the way of the mount and more important, it had to be made of a flexible material which is more than twice as expensive as the housing material.
As an engineer, I feel that the tie wrap hinges are rather clever. They are readily available, super robust (have you ever known one to break?),They ultra low cost, didn't require a custom designed hinge which would be very costly and easy to install. What more could you ask for?
I'm not sure why you would want a switch for the fan. It needs to be running any time the camera is recording. If you want it to stop when the camera is not in use, all you need to do is unplug it.
